Cactus provides language training to private and corporate clients throughout the world. Over the last 7 years we have established a network of partnerships with leading language schools and specialist trainers around the world. These professionals provide not only the flexibility and geographical coverage our many clients require, but also sufficient independence to enable Cactus to operate a decentralised, communication-rich system, ideal for dealing with complex language training scenarios. Cactus trainers are fully briefed and prepared, and work in close harmony with our organization. Through this network we are able to provide training courses in many of the world’s major cities.
How It Works
Our qualified, native speaker language trainers are based throughout the world. The training takes place either in your company offices or in one of our partner schools worldwide. Once you've spoken to one of our training coordinators we will prepare you a course proposal/booking form, containing a sample program and quote. Once you return this to us we will be able to put together your training program, agree dates, frequencies and locations, brief the trainer(s) and confirm everything back to you.
By October 2009, we had delivered training in 525 cities worldwide. They included the following:
In North America Atlanta, Boston, Cambridge, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Montreal, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver, Washington DC
In the UK : Aberdeen, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Oxford, Portsmouth, Sheffield, Southampton, York
Worldwide : Amsterdam, Barcelona, Beijing, Berlin, Budapest, Buenos Aires, Cologne, Delhi, Doha, Dubai, Dublin, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Lisbon, Madrid, Mexico City, Milan, Moscow, Mumbai, Munich, Nagoya, Paris, Rome, Sao Paolo, Shanghai, Tokyo, Warsaw, Zurich
Simply let us know where you would like to take your course, and we’ll do our utmost to provide it where and when you want.
As everybody's needs are different we will build a program that is unique to you. This doesn't cost any more - it's the service we offer to everyone. This means that we will want to spend time finding out more about your projects, your job, your language ambitions, and build up a list of topic areas, or skills, for you to work through. If training is going to take place in groups, we'll aim to ask everyone to contribute ideas as to what they'd like to do.
The advantage of this approach is that you, and/or your colleagues following the course, are totally involved in the course design and therefore remain motivated throughout.
Of course, if you don't know what you'd like to work on, we can make suggestions to you of what may be relevant. At lower levels of language ability, it's often useful to spend time running through the basic language first but, even here, we're able to 'flavour' the lessons with the themes and vocabulary, and the situations and scenarios, that you're likely to need.
